I am just learning how to sew and have only done a few projects, so I'm just using this as practice. I have been wanting to take some sewing lessons, do you think those would help me get better? http://www.jmsewvac.com/ClassDescriptionsPhotos.htmlAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17866638023454830671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5318771120716588521.post-66051966353759606062014-07-27T10:00:55.478-07:002014-07-27T10:00:55.478-07:00Sandra, I haven't always marked corners etc. b...Sandra, I haven't always marked corners etc. before I sewed but I do get such better results now that I take the time to draw the seam lines, corners, etc.Dianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12500041147303339117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5318771120716588521.post-33572840841267565432014-07-27T09:59:12.227-07:002014-07-27T09:59:12.227-07:00Oh I edited that part of the post.Oh I edited that part of the post.Dianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12500041147303339117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5318771120716588521.post-89137085950302287892014-07-27T09:58:40.596-07:002014-07-27T09:58:40.596-07:00So sorry Nancy. Since I had marked my sewing line on the lining (or facing) side I didn't want to cover it up with my stabilizer so I pinned it to the dress side and sewed from the lining side. Thank you for pointing this out to me.Dianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12500041147303339117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5318771120716588521.post-36410568310717142332014-07-24T03:28:35.015-07:002014-07-24T03:28:35.015-07:00I'm a little confused. I've been wanting to improve my results by using stabilizers rather than just stay stitching so I would appreciate clarification.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5318771120716588521.post-45656170003405831162014-07-23T20:06:40.566-07:002014-07-23T20:06:40.566-07:00Diana, you take the best photos for your tutorials...Diana, you take the best photos for your tutorials. Thank you! I should have followed your instruction about marking a corner today. I thought I could "wing it" but I can see how the result would have been better with marking.
